Meet the TF Team

TARGETED Fitness is located in King street East Maitland in the Maitland Health Specialist Centre – we have three fully-equipped training rooms for private and personal training sessions in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

All trainers are registered professionals with Fitness Australia          .


Michelle Davis is the owner & manager of TARGETED Fitness. Michelle overseas the running of the business and has an active role as a Personal Trainer on a daily basis.

Michelle started at the gym  as a client herself, later becoming a valued member of the team and finally taking over the business in 2009. She has been involved in fitness since the early 1990’s.
Qualifications include Certificate lll and IV in Fitness and Diploma in Fitness. Specializing in the registered categories of Personal Trainer, Gym Instructor, Group Exercise, Freestyle Instructor, Children’s Trainer and Older Adults Trainer. Michelle is licensed and qualified to deliver Heartmoves – which is a Heart Foundation approved gentle physical activity program. Michelle is also certified/qualified to deliver Studio Pilates Mat classes.  Michelle specialises in weight loss results and is a qualified Weight Loss Consultant accredited through the College of weight loss consultants. Senior First Aid Qualified.    Michelle has a strong understanding of the ups and downs faced by those who wish to lead a healthier, fitter and happier lifestyle and is passionate about helping others achieve their fitness and lifestyle goals. Other acknowledgments include Maitland Woman of the Year 2014 and Steel Magnolia Newcastle – 2014



Janita Baker  is an on-call casual trainer for TF and is a fully qualified Personal Trainer having completed Certificate III and IV  in Fitness.  Janita has many years experience working with clients of varying ages and requirements.  Janita takes a special interest in exercise for older adults and small group fitness. Senior First Aid qualified.

 


 

Matt HoneysetMatthew Honeysett is a fully qualified personal trainer having completed Certificate III and IV in Fitness and Personal Training. Specialising in small group training, boxing classes, bootcamp and strength training.

Matthew is very passionate about training for fitness and health and currently competes in strongman competitions and powerlifting. Matthew enjoys the outdoors and riding his motorbike, he  is also an avid small aircraft pilot.


toddTodd Davis is another on call casual Personal Trainer. He is qualified in Certificate III and IV and is first aid qualified. Todd facilitates the Friday morning Super circuit, various small group sessions and the TF running club at Walka Water Works park run on Saturday mornings. Todd enjoys all things fitness. He is an avid golfer and scuba diver.


Deborah Layton is the front desk receptionist at TF. DeboraDebh brings extensive administrative experience to the Receptionist role, having previously worked within diverse public, private sector and charitable sectors. Deb loves being part of the client focused team at Targeted Fitness and is  inspired by the clients and their personal fitness journeys, from the initial assessment, and following  through to where they are today.

You may see Deb in the training rooms as she participates in small group sessions and Pilates, she is passionate about her health and fitness. In her spare time, Deborah is a 3rd year Bachelor of Visual Communication & Design student. “It’s fantastic being able to use those skills to provide high level website      and graphic design support to a number of not-for-profit organizations that she passionate about  


GaryGary Freeland has 10 years experience as a personal trainer. His specialty areas are older populations and professional people who are often time poor. Gary has had a wealth of experience outside of the training industry where he has developed superior communication skills. With his training, he listens to what you want and mixes this with a healthy dose of what you need. Your goals are his goals. Gary fully understands the pressures generated by the workplace and life in general. He understands that exercise is an important way to deal with life’s stresses. A strong working knowledge of nutrition coupled with fitness and exercise awareness has helped clients achieve weight loss aims.
