Winter is definitely here and with that comes an increase in colds, bugs and illnesses. If you’re not feeling great especially coughing or sneezing or constantly blowing your nose you are best to take a break from the gym. You wont be able to work out to your full capacity, you are best to rest up, if you feel you have to do something try going for a walk in the fresh air, something gentle just to keep your activity up.

Make sure you are getting enough sleep, it will ensure your immune system does its work and twill give your body the best chance of fighting a bug. In the grand scheme of things, it’s worth skipping a workout or two if it means you recover quicker from that impending cold or bug. Keep up any incidental activity that you have in your daily routine, and then make a comeback to the gym once you have fully recovered.
