Personal One-on-One Training

“One-on-One’s” are specifically designed to suit your individual fitness or weight-loss goals. Having a Personal Trainer to guide you through your training session will help you spend time on the proper types of exercise, and also correct your technique. Proper fat loss and muscle gain will be monitored, and you will also reduce your chance of injury. Having a PT helps you to overcome plateaus and establish a lifetime of good exercise habits.

Small Group PT Session

With your group’s own Personal Trainer, a small Group PT session allows for maximum attention with a strong emphasis on technique. There are many benefits to training in a group environment. Accountability is a great motivator and if you know that people are relying on you to show up, then you are more likely to do so.

Encouragement from your Trainer or your workout buddies, can also be a great motivator to help keep you on track. There is a certain dynamic that happens with the social aspect of Small Group PT sessions, where you can make new friends with similar interests. The small groups at TF allow this to happen in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Private Closed Group Session

This closed session is for groups of up to four people who would like to train specifically with each other, i.e. family members or friends. Get the benefits of strength training and cardio in your private closed group session. You will get stronger, improve your fitness, burn calories and change your body – with encouragement from your Trainer, family and close friends.

Boxing Circuit

This session will challenge you and increase your fitness. The class caters for all levels of experience, and is one of our most popular fitness classes. If it’s a lean, toned, strong body you’re after, then this could be the workout for you.

A typical class starts with:

  • 10-minute warm-up
  • 40 minutes of boxing/circuit work
  • 10-minute cool-down

Boxing Circuit is great for learning technique and form. You can expect increased agility and coordination, muscle tone and greater overall fitness. Boxing Circuit is a cardio work-out for the whole body.

Kids/Teens Gym

Children and teens who don’t get enough physical activity are at a greater risk of becoming overweight or obese. This makes it harder for them to be active and keep up in sport or play.

It’s important that kids and teens participate in a combination of moderate and vigorous activities for at least 60 minutes a day. With this in mind Targeted Fitness has designed Kids/Teens Gym.

Kids/Teens Gym runs for an hour, and incorporates strength, cardio, balance and coordination activities. This session is adjusted to suit the age and ability of every child/teen attending. Our Personal Trainers have completed their Working With Children Check for Kids/Teens Gym.

A complete body-conditioning program that integrates your mind and body to improve precision in muscle control, strength, flexibility, and breath control. Think of Pilates as a way to create space and length within your body, opening your joints, elongating your muscles, and building your endurance.

By incorporating Pilates into your weekly program, you can expect an increased range of motion, and enhancement of overall flexibility.

At Targeted Fitness, our classic mat Pilates practice focuses on connecting breath to movement, mind-body connection, and core muscle activation (your “powerhouse”). Format of the sessions can include moving from floor based work to chair, to vertical Pilates.

Deb is passionate about the connected relationship between Pilates and resistance training. Lifting weights heightens the sympathetic nervous system, which is a response to stress on the body. Pilates heightens the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the heart rate and relaxes the musculature within it. These two methods together create balance in your body that cannot be duplicated.
