Boxing for Fitness will challenge you and increase your fitness. The class caters for all levels of experience, and is one of our most popular fitness classes. If it’s a lean, toned, strong body you’re after, then this could be the workout for you.
A typical class starts with a 10-minute warm-up, followed by about 40 minutes of boxing/circuit work, and finishing with a 10-minute cool-down. What you can expect from regular Boxing for Fitness sessions: learn great form and technique, fat loss, increased agility and coordination, muscle tone and greater overall fitness. Boxing for Fitness is a cardio work-out for the whole body.
Boxing for Fitness is delivered by fully qualified Personal Trainers, certified to run Boxing Fitness sessions.
Kids Gym. Children who don’t get enough physical activity are at a greater risk of becoming overweight or obese. This makes it harder for them to be active and keep up in sport or play. We all know its hard to get kids off the couch and moving. It’s important that kids and teens get a combination of moderate and vigorous activities for at least 60 minutes a day. With this in mind Targeted Fitness has designed small group sessions for the kids, Kids Gym. The class can accommodate up to 10 and will run for one hour. Kids Gym incorporates strength, cardio, balance and coordination activities and is adjusted to suit the age and ability of every child/teen attending. Our Personal Trainers have completed their Working With Children Check for Kids Gym.
Pilates is great for strengthening your core (pelvic floor to diaphragm), reinforceing proper postural alignment, and feeling longer, leaner and stronger. At Targeted Fitness, our Pilates on the mat practice focuses on breath awareness, mind-body connection, and core muscle activation.
Our Pilates sessions, run by Deb, can include moving from floor based work to vertical Pilates. She often includes use of Pilates balls, Swissballs, light weights, soft bands, Pilates rings, and the occasional Pilates wheel work….with a big emphasis on fun!
Deb is also a qualified Barre Instructor, and loves to include some more challenging Barre inspired movements.
